Volanie nociCall of the Night
The painting captures a winter night on the peak Poludnica in the Low Tatras. The main motif in the foreground is a wolf howling on Poludnica, beside a snow-covered spruce. In the background are the snowy High Tatras (Kriváň) and a view of Liptov, lit by the lights of villages at night. The sky is completed by a greenish aurora, and the constellations Ursa Major, the Little Dipper and Gemini are accurately recorded. I used special modeling paste for Poludnica, the wolf and the Tatras.
